De-Graft Mensah is an experienced and exciting TV and podcast presenter. Having started out in fashion and music magazines such as Notion and PAUSE, De-Graft has been tat the forefront of the presenting team on the BBC’s flagship children’s news programmes - BBC Newsround for the past eight years.

Helping to lead the programme he’s been the face of big pivotal stories for the audience from breaking the news that HM Queen Elizabeth had died to fronting a documentary (Empire and Me) on the impacts of the British Empire on ex colonies.

Whilst at the BBC De-Graft has also presented other youth based content and programmes and content on BBC News.

Outside the world of journalism De-Graft has hosted regular events with the likes of Bafta, The Diana Award and BBC Gardener’s World whilst hosting his own podcast, Digging Around with De-Graft Mensah - a format drawn up by the presenter himself where he interviews intriguing human interest in a “clever, fun, rich, and authentic way” (The Independent, 2026).
